As a part of Malaysia’s commitment to the global goals, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad officially launched the Together for SDG platform.

Together for SDGs platform aims for inclusion of private sector

Working together to achieve SDGs will bridge the racial and religious divide by having Malaysians working towards developing a more inclusive and sustainable future, where no one is left behind. By focusing on SDGs, we can strengthen unity, as well as key institutions, which SDG16 aims for.

One area that is lacking is business commitment and support for the SDGs. While many companies are carrying out corporated social responsibility programmes, these are not enough to make a difference. This is why the Together for SDGs platform is set to involve and enable businesses to pledge to the SDGs, channel resources towards SDG-priorities in the country, and take action towards ensuring that the SDGs are met by 2030.
